Our first child, Noah, was born on January 16.
Hello everyone,
We’ve noticed a increase significant in the number of people viewing the site (WordPress statistics are quite handy for that) and thought we’d take this chance to mention a few things to potential clients visiting for the first time and to anyone who checks the site periodically to view photos.
We’re FINALLY ready to deploy an updated look to the website, working with a graphic designer to get a new logo for the business and then updating the entire layout of the site, so you can expect to see some changes in the coming weeks. We generally take the winter months off from the business end of photography and use this time to pursue photography as a hobby. Aside from a few shoots here or there, we leave our winter pretty open for other things. If you need something done, we can probably work it in, but we don’t schedule any weddings during these months. We are also expecting our first child, a little boy, at the end of January, so there will a LOT of newborn photography around that time… : ) Expect to see more than a few posts with baby pictures.
To all prospective wedding clients – We are limiting the number of wedding bookings we will take this summer/early fall to between 10 and 12. With the all-day coverage and storytelling approach we provide for each client, the number of senior photography clients we are expecting, and our first summer with the baby, we’ve decided that this number will allow us to give each wedding the attention it deserves before, during, and after the big day. Available times are filling up, so if you are considering us as your wedding photographer, feel free to contact us via phone or email with any questions you might have. Whether you choose us or not, we are always happy to help. Read more about our approach to weddings by clicking HERE.
Thanks for stopping by. We look forward to hearing from you!

A few shots from a recent engagement session with Josh and Jordan.
The Bald Eagles are back at Lake Coeur d’Alene to feed on the spawning Kokanee for a few weeks. Today was my first trip out, and I didn’t get much worth posting – lighting was tough and there wasn’t a lot of activity for much of the day. The shots here are of two separate birds – both immature Bald Eagles – one that hasn’t had much color change at all to its head, the other that is in the process of gaining its ‘white’ head. You can see the band of dark feathers near its eye.
If you or anyone you know is looking for a wedding photographer who will deliver professional results without decimating your entire wedding budget, we’d love to work with you. Offering all-day services at a tremendous value, we recognize that many people face the unfortunate struggle of choosing value over quality. We’ll make that decision easy for you by providing both. (Along those lines, see the post I made warning people going with the ‘bargain priced’ wedding packages HERE) We use only top of the line professional equipment, offer complementary engagement sessions and all day coverage with all wedding packages, and offer a variety of options to fit your price range. We’ll document your wedding day from start to end – you’ll never have to worry about us taking off in the middle of the festivities because you purchased 4 hours of coverage for a day that ran 6 hours.
Base Price – $1,200 + tax
